I paint in the tradition of the Neo-Renaissance — where the human figure is honoured, light is architecture, and pigment is the medium of memory. Every canvas begins as an act of listening: to a couple, to a room, to the quality of an afternoon. What follows are layers — impasto, glazes, the palette knife — until the moment is held in oil, honest and unhurried.
Educated in the classical ateliers of Europe, Yulia's commissioned portraits and wedding paintings live in private collections from Milan to Palm Beach. Her practice bridges the discipline of the old masters and the intimacy of contemporary storytelling.
She works in the tradition of the Neo-Renaissance and Impressionism: impasto strokes laid with the palette knife, light built in layers, colour kept alive and breathing on the surface of the canvas.
